Chestnut tree – pests on bark
Hello,
On my chestnut tree, I found these yellow pests on the trunk, branches, and leaves. In the summer I had some, but green. What are they?
All season I sprayed the trees with Fizimite. Now that the vegetation’s gone I’d give Mospilan; can it work? Or do I need something else? I also have a garden full of slugs, small ones for now. Especially under the mulching films on strawberries.
What can I use?
Thank you very much,Attachments:

Hello. The attached photo is not clear enough for an exact identification, but it is possible to be aphids. In this case, considering the period in which we are, it is recommended to apply the treatments specific to the dormancy period. Thus, it can be applied one treatment with Mospilan Oil 20 SG 10, 3 g + 50 ml. The package contains 1 sachet of Mospilan 20 SG + Toil adjuvant, and they are dissolved in 10 L water. The treatment should be applied on dry bark, not covered by ice, snow, or frost, on days with positive temperatures, preferably a minimum of 5-6°C. For more details on how to carry out dormancy treatments, you can access our article (Winter treatments with oils and copper-based products).
Against slugs, you may consider using Gel Bio Plantella, 1 litre, applied according to the instructions on the product label.-
