DBDavid Bella6 November 20230 Wish green leaves
Chamaedorea, my palm tree has brown leaves
I had a gorgeous plant (as you can see from the first picture), but after I moved to a new apartment, brown spots started appearing on the leaves (the moving was fast, so the plant wasn’t stressed). I put an avocado next to it, which already had some brown leaves. Could a fungus be to blame?
Extremely quickly, the plant got destroyed (as you can see from the pictures). I water it once a week, a little, with spring water, it has enough light, suitable soil. I also spray it on the leaves from time to time.
This summer there were days when I would cut even 4 leaves at a time to prevent the disease from spreading. I always waited for the soil to dry out before watering.
I was very happy to see that it grew a little leaf without any brown spots.
But, unfortunately, a week ago the brown spots reappeared, at the tips of the leaves.
What can I do? Thank you very much!Attachments:

Hello. The leaf deterioration was most likely caused by one or more environmental and/or care factors: low humidity, perhaps inadequate watering, draughts, temperature fluctuations, pot size, inadequate substrate, a change in the care conditions, etc. In this case, it is recommended to maintain constant environmental conditions and to care for the plant according to its specific requirements (Chamaedorea, plant care and growing guide). Regarding the leaf spots, these symptoms may occur because of climatic conditions and variable temperatures, or possibly because of a fungal disease. It is recommended to remove the affected leaves and spray a fungicide such as Champ 77 WG, 20 g, in a dose of 20 g per 10 l of water (spray the entire plant, stem and leaves, both on the topside and underside of the leaves). To overcome this stressful period, it is recommended to use a fertilizer that is specially formulated for the nutritional requirements of indoor plants, such as Wuxal Green Plants and Palm Fertilizer Palmendünger, 1 litre, applied by watering, according to the recommendations on the label. Further, it is recommended to monitor the development of the plant for a while, and if other symptoms appear or the mentioned ones worsen, please do not hesitate to send a message with accompanying photos.
