IAIorgu Andreea26 July 20231 Wish green leaves
Campsis radicans, poor growth
I have 2 Campsis radicans, trumpet vine, planted at the same time, but one of them is not as well developed. It has bloomed, has spread out on the wall but it is very sparse at the bottom and 3 times smaller than the other. The only difference I would say, is that the better developed one has a little shade after 4 pm, when the sun passes on the other side of the wall it is on. How can I stimulate and steer it to grow a harmonious foliage?

Hello. Overall, the appearance of the trumpet vine in the photo is normal, regular. The poorer development and sparse appearance may be due to numerous abiotic and biotic factors, from the genetic background of the plant to the characteristics of the microhabitat in which it is planted. It is known that the same plant species can be more or less sensitive to the action of the same biotic and abiotic factors. If you have not identified any other symptoms (presence of pests, very fine webs, growths, various deposits or others), it is recommended to take proper care of the plant as described in our article: Campsis, planting guide and care work. To stimulate a vigorous growth, during this period you may consider using a fertilizer with a revitalizing effect, such as AMN Nordalge, 500 ml, AMN Verde, 500 ml or Vital NT, 250 ml, by watering at the roots, according to the recommendations on the label.
