Blackberry and redcurrant planted in May, dry leaves
Hello, I own 4-5 blackberries and 4 red currants which are 3 months old and planted in pots. Both of them did well for a while but as the hot weather arrived many leaves started to dry out. I sprayed them with Cropmax, which gave them a bit of a boost, but even though they always grow new leaves, the plants still seem to suffer – they even have curled green leaves. What would be the long-term treatment?
Thanks!Attachments:

Hello. Most probably the deterioration is due to a combination of abiotic factors, such as stress during transport, handling, changing environmental and planting conditions, unfavorable climatic conditions (excessive heat in the last period, temperature fluctuations, sunburn, dry wind), unfavorable soil conditions, nutrient deficiencies (most likely iron in the case of the currant), possible phytopathogens, etc. It is recommended to regularly remove the damaged leaves, to remove the weeds at the base of the shrubs and to ensure the optimal growing conditions for these fruit bearing species: Blackberry, planting, growing and harvesting and Blackcurrant, planting, growing and harvesting. Afterwards, you can consider gently loosening the soil at the base of each specimen and applying an organic fertilizer, which has a stimulating effect and improves soil quality, such as AMN Nordalge, 500 ml, by watering at the roots, as recommended on the label. Additionally, it is recommended to regularly apply a foliar fertilizer such as Terra-Sorb Foliar, 100 ml or AMN Optiferrum, 500 ml (with optimal micro-nutrient and iron-chelate content, with optimal growth and development enhancing effect) by foliar spraying on the remaining leaves, as recommended in the product description.
More detailed information on this topic can be found in the following articles: Blackberry treatments, pest and disease control and Currant treatments, pest and disease control. It is well known that the stress suffered during transport, handling, changing environmental conditions and planting can have effects over a longer period of time, depending on the success of the transplanting, the regeneration capacity and the environmental and care conditions provided. The future evolution of the plants cannot be accurately predicted.-
