Black cockroaches in the bathroom
Hello, today I found a big black cockroach in the bathroom. I didn’t know what it was since I’ve never had cockroaches in the house. After searching it on Google, I found out that the bug was an Oriental cockroach. I froze and, ever since, I’ve been very agitated.
Please advise me what to do, to stop it from showing up again. I mention that we live in a duplex house, on the first floor, so the cockroaches may appear from the neighbor below?
Please note that I have dogs that walk all over the house, so I can’t use substances that are dangerous for animals. What do you advise me? I’m really panicking because I’ve never encountered such a situation in my life and I have no idea how to proceed.

Cockroaches can show up either from the neighbors or from the basement. If that is the only cockroach found, then you can place traps with an attractant like Trap A Roach, 5 pieces. They are not harmful to humans or animals.
