      Bed bugs treatments

I found the bedbugs in a couch, Monday night I found out about them, Tuesday morning I threw the bed where they seemed to be most. Elsewhere in the apartment I haven’t seen them, I have no idea how I got them in the house, I’m curious about that too. I used on Tuesday and Wednesday k othrine, no dead bed bugs appeared. Today morning , Friday , I used 3-5g of cytrol forte wp in 500ml water and sprayed around the room , then an i7.2 dobol fumigator and after coming back to the apartment over 4 5 hours I saw nothing in the room. Are there good chances to have got rid of them already since I didn’t find anything after the first treatment and I didn’t see anything else around the house? I’m also curious what advice or opinions you have for the given situation, being summer I would like to finish as soon as possible with all the madness with the bed bugs so I can return to normal everyday life.

Hello, in general, in the case of bedbugs, 2-3 treatments are necessary, 7-10 days apart, with an insecticide spray (Cytrol Forte WP, 20 g, K-Othrine WG 250, 20 g, i55 Cimetrol Super EW, 100 ml etc.), followed by the use of an aerosol insecticide (e.g. i7.2 Dobol Fumigator, 10 g, Ghilotina i135 PermFum Midi, 11 g, Dobol Fumigator, 20 g), following exactly the dosage recommendations on the label for insecticides applied by spraying (i.e. the amount of product and the corresponding volume of water in which it is dissolved) and the time interval between treatments (7-10 days). Also of particular importance are the measures to be taken afterward (vacuuming the treated area to remove dead insects and their eggs, washing all the fabrics and materials that support this process, etc.). Thus, for the time being, considering that you have carried out the chemical treatments in the described way, in order to check if the bed bugs are still present in the space, it is recommended to use some adhesive traps, which have both a monitoring purpose and a verification of the results of the treatments carried out: Stick-Em The Bugo Bed Bug Detector 211H, set of 8 or BDS-SLDR96. If bed bugs will be caught on the surface of the traps, it is recommended to carry out the treatments (insecticide spray + aerosol), following the recommendations mentioned above.
For more detailed information on how to carry out the treatments, as well as the recommended products, please consult the following article: How to get rid of Bed Bugs.
