Alternating bed bug treatments
Hello, I had the inconvenience of returning from the seaside with some bedbugs, I guess 2 or 3 adults but, unfortunately, I could not identify them in time and they started to multiply.
I bought from you K-Othrine WG 250, 20 g and Solfac Automatic Forte NF for 3 treatments. I did the first treatment and left home. I came back the second day and the bedbugs became more aggressive than before. They practically bit us and the baby in 20 minutes more than they had bitten us in one month since we returned from the seaside. We left home for a month and I will return periodically to do the treatments. From what I understand, K-Othrine WG 250 had not yet had enough time to act because too little time had passed and for this reason we were bitten on the 2nd day. I am going to carry out 2 or even 3 more treatments every 8 days.
Is it ok if I only use K-Othrine WG 250 and Solfac Automatic Forte NF or should I also use Cytrol Forte WP in combination with Dobol?
Thank you in advance.

The company used Foval, but I didn’t get rid of them. I found about 4 dead bugs and that was all. I’ve never seen one alive, because they’re hiding. Indeed, I have many things and the house is crowded. I packed as much as I could and put them in bags. We also carried out a treatment 4 days ago with K-Othrine wg and Midi perfume. Last turn I applied another solution and used Dobol fumigator. Sunday will be 9 days from the previous treatment and I will carry out another one, but with Cytrol and Solfac this time …. I hope to get rid of them. I applied the solution everywhere … After the next treatment I hope we can move back in, but I won’t unpack anything until I see what the situation is … Were they climbing the walls in your case? I haven’t seen any even though I look after them at night, especially considering that I haven’t slept much since I’ve had this problem (for about 2 and a half months). God help us!

I hadn’t seen them on the walls either, I thought we didn’t have many either. They started to climb the walls only after I applied the solution. I think they became confused. I initially thought we had a maximum of 3-4. After the two treatments, I think I found 15 dead, none alive. Maybe you’re more lucky with Cytrol and K-Othrine.
AlAlex14 April 2022I returned with an update. It seems that in the apartment above us, they have a bed bug infestation but they didn’t say anything about it. So it seems that I did not take them from the seaside as I thought, but from the neighbors, although in theory they do not travel so far. They called a pest control company and they will come every 10 days. I killed all the bed bugs in the house, but it is possible that they will return from the neighbors. Maybe you are in a similar situation and maybe that’s why you cannot get rid of them. You need to go talk to the building administrator and to the neighbors and find out if anyone else has a similar problem. Practically, the whole building must be disinsected.
Hello. To avoid the phenomenon of resistance to the applied insecticides, it is recommended to alternate them with insecticides such as Cytrol Forte WP, 20 g and i7.2 Dobol Fumigator, 10 g.

We have been struggling for 2 months with them as well, and now we alternate the treatments every 10 days. I hope to get rid of these pests considering that I am at the end of my patience. Did you manage to get rid of them? I have washed almost everything in the house ….

Hello! I still don’t think I’ve got rid of the bedbugs. We were lucky to be able to stay with some friends and we have practically all been away from home for 2 weeks. I’ve carried out 2 treatments so far. The first one in the bedroom, living room, hallway. I found several dead bugs next to the baseboard, where I think they also have the nest. I repeated the treatment 4 days ago but I applied the solution everywhere – bathroom, kitchen, balcony, hallway, bedroom, living room and I checked the rooms yesterday. I didn’t find any dead bugs in the bedroom and living room, but I did find some in the bathroom. I guess I brought them with the linen and left some behind in the bathroom, probably under the washing machine. From there I think they spread all over the house.
How did you carry out the treatments in these 2 months? Or have you started recently? I used K-Othrine WG 250, a sachet of 20 g per 10 l of water. I removed the sofa, threw the bed mattress, threw the the baby’s crib and its mattress. I applied the solution on the baseboards, on the walls to a height of up to 50 cm, on the carpet in the area next to the walls, on the switches and sockets, on the sofa, the sofa’s pillows, in the cabinets. I vacuumed all the clothes and washed them progressively, bag by bag, and vacuumed them again.
I repeated the treatment every 8 days because they hatch in an interval between 7 and 10 days. To force them to come out of hiding, I used Solfac Autiomatic Forte, fumigant. I used one in the living room, one in the bedroom and I left the windows closed for 2 days. If I still don’t get rid of them, I will set fire to the walls.CCClaudia Cringus14 April 2022We are desperate too. We hired a team, but we still didn’t get rid of them. Now I’m applying the insecticides myself. I bought Vermorel, Solfac fumigator, and Dobol fumigator. I use them alternately. I have already applied 7 treatments, of which 5 with the help of a pest control company and I still haven’t gotten rid of them. And we also struggle with clothes in bags… I have an 8-year-old baby and I’m pregnant …. I’m desperate.

We also have a 1-year-old baby and they bit her the most. We made the mistake of going home the second day and they hadn’t died yet. They die after about 2 to 3 days, not instantly. She fell asleep and I turned off the light bulb. I turned it on after 20 minutes and they were already on her wrist. I took her straight out of bed, and left the house at 2 o’clock at night.
The pest control companies also carry out the treatments with K-Othrine WG 250 or Cytrol forte WP. Theoretically, it is doubtful that the pest control company failed after 5 treatments. Try K-Othrine WG 250 20g diluted in 8 l of water, applied everywhere, on the baseboards in the rooms, in the hallway. Even on the walls up to a height of 50 cm, after which close the windows and open everything on the inside (drawers, cupboards) and use fumigators.
At the moment I only used K-Othrine WG 250 applied with Vermorel and then Solfac fumigator, one in each room. K-Othrine WG 250 is made especially for these bed bugs, as far as I understand. I carried out 2 treatments so far and I saw dead bugs after the first treatment, but after the second one none at all, only in the bathroom where I hadn’t applied anything the first time. Now I’ve applied the treatment all over the house. The second one must be carried out sometime within 8 days, because I read that they hatch between the 7th and 10th day, so if the treatment is carried out after more than 10 days, the chances to get rid of them are lower. We also have carpet and baseboards on the sides of the room. I sprayed K-Othrine on the baseboards abundantly. It’s better to ruin the carpet but know that these pests are dying. For the bed, I bought waterproof mattress covers with zippers from the internet, for when I will get rid of them completely, to be sure that nothing gets into the new mattress and pillows.
I will return with a message after treatment no. 3. If even after that I will still find dead bugs, something is dubiously wrong, because theoretically, after the first 2 treatments, you have to get rid of everything. The third treatment will be carried out with Dobol fumigators and Cytrol forte WP at the highest concentration for these pests, i.e. 20 grams in 5 l of water. After that I will return home at night and turn on the light bulb to see if I catch anything on the walls.
Good luck! I will come back with feedback, I hope we manage to get rid of them.
