Whiteflies (Trialeurodes vaporariorum) – belong to the class Insecta, order Hemiptera and is native to the tropical regions of America, from where it has spread to other parts of the world (Europe, Asia, Australia etc.). It is a polyphagous species, attacking many species of vegetable and ornamental plants. Adults and larvae colonize leaves and shoots, from which they suck cellular content. Following the attack, leaves turn yellow, dry out, and fall off.
