Propagation. It is done by seeds or by layering. Sowing is carried out outdoors, in the spring, in a slightly sandy soil, in sheltered places (partially-shaded or sunny).

Layering takes place in October-November. Before this operation, big cuttings are made to stimulate the formation of more buds, as close to the ground as possible. They are bent, anchored in the ground approximately 15 cm from the tip, then buried. The distributors will be detached from the mother plant in the following fall.

Planting. It can be planted in spring or autumn, during the dormancy period, at temperatures above 5 °C, if the soil is not frozen and there is no danger of frost. Due to the fact that it is a species sensitive to transplanting, it is planted with a bundle of earth on the roots.
