Blueberry bushes don’t grow
Hello! We have a blueberry plantation of 3. 75 ha which in the autumn of this year should turn 3 years old after planting. 80% of the shrubs grow properly, but on the other side, we encounter problems. The plants have yellow leaves, do not grow at all and after a while some dry out towards the tops. I want to mention the fact that fertilization is done according to a well-established program, with fertilizers based on nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, ammonium sulfate, etc. We also spray foliar with microelements (Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo, Zn, Br). The plants are regularly watered. Phytosanitary treatments were made in the spring before flowering with Champ, Faster, Mineral oil. In May, we applied Aliette, Score, Milbeknock and we are going to repeat with Switch and Karate Zeon. Last year I checked the acidity of the soil and indeed the pH was a bit high in the problem area (6-6. 5). So I took out the plants and replanted them by changing the soil (I enclosed in ridges the soil with the corresponding acidity, 4. 5-5. 5, mixed with sawdust). This year they had a pretty good start, but now they are stagnating again. In one of the photos, you can see beautiful and developed plants that are on the same line as those with problems, so it is not a problem of irrigation. To the affected plants we applied a slightly larger amount of fertilizer, hoping that they will grow more vigorously. But no positive result is observed. I also want to mention that it rained a lot this year. I look forward to your reply. Thank you!
