Snowdrops are part of the Amaryllidaceae family, a genus of bulbous plants. The common snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis), is the best known species of the genus Galanthus. This species presents a pyriform bulb in the ground. The leaves are green, linear and the flowers are solitary, elongated, white.
Soil
It prefers soils rich in humus, with a high water drainage capacity and the pH of the soil should be neutral.
Light
Snowdrops prefer to be placed in bright places (receiving direct sunlight).
Watering
It is recommended that the soil be kept moist, watering it periodically with moderate amounts of water.
Flowering
In February-March.
