
Plectranthus is a genus of the Lamiaceae family, comprising approximately 350 species of annual plants, evergreen perennials, semi-succulents and shrubs from Africa, Madagascar, Asia and Australia. The Plectranthus species have straight, upwards oriented stems, the leaves are oval or round, reaching a maximum length of 10 cm. The inflorescences are straight spikes and abundant flowering occurs in summer.
