
Lily of the valley (Convallaria majalis) is a perennial herbaceous plant, originating in Europe and Asia. Lily of the valley is also popularly called ‘May bells’. The leaves are petiolate, elliptical, green, located at the base of the plant. The flowers are small, white or occasionally pink, strongly scented, grouped in terminal racemes. The flowers are campanulate (bell-shaped) and have 6 short petals that curve outward.
